Paramedic (Part-time)
Carteret County Emergency Services is seeking highly qualified and motivated EMS professionals. Immediate openings for part-time QRV Paramedics. EMS operates 3 stations which provide Paramedic assist to 9 basic and intermediate squads and provide back up for 6 Paramedic squads. Supports locally and in state with a mass casualty trailer capable of triaging 100 patients and treating 50 patients. House and operate a mobile communications vehicle, water search and rescue with a 21’ Parker boat, and several other support trailers.

9-1-1 Telecommunicator Type IV (Trainee - Part time)
After a period of training and under close supervision, receives and processes emergency as well as non¬emergency calls from the public and public safety agencies throughout Carteret County by utilizing enhanced specialized telephone equipment, specialized computer operating systems including Computer Aided Dispatch and two-way radio systems. Transportation Services Manager (Full-time)
Performs responsible managerial, administrative and supervisory work in planning, developing, and implementing transportation services for the citizens throughout the County. Develops and projects administrative, operating, and capital budgets including vehicle purchase, replacement, staff requirements and administrative operations.

General Services Director (Full-time)
An employee in this class performs complex professional work toward planning, organizing and directing of all functions within the County General Services Department to include but not limited to Public Works, Public Buildings and Engineering Unit(s). Work is performed under the general supervision of the Assistant County Manager. Supervision is exercised over all departmental personnel.

QRV - Paramedic - Emergency Services Dept (Full-time)
Employee will perform skilled and technical work related to the administration of emergency medical care to patients in the pre-hospital environment. Work involves responding to the scene of emergency calls in emergency response vehicles. This position requires the employee to work rotating 24 hour shifts.

Maintenance Technician - Public buildings Dept (Full-time)
An employee in this class must be at the mastery level in one of three specialized fields (HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing), performs and coordinates a variety of building maintenance and repair activities related to same. Work involves responsibility for multiple building sites operating both independently and as a team when necessary. Work require initiative and a significant knowledge of trade practices and skills preferably with a license held in one or more of the three skill areas. Must be able to read and interpret schematics, building plans and other technical instructions. Duties and responsibilities subjects the employee to inside and outside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, hazards associated with maintenance work, fumes, chemicals, mists, gases and oils.
