The
Rape Crisis Program provides the following services:
COUNSELING
- Victims of sexual assault and abuse for adults, teens,
children (and family members).
CRISIS ASSISTANCE -
Advocates on call 24 hours thru Helpline.
EDUCATIONAL -
Community awareness programs; training for law enforcement and other
professionals; prevention education programs.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE -
Victim's Compensation Assistance (filing claims with state office); limited
$ help with medical bills or other emergency needs resulting from assault,
Health-assistance with any health issues resulting from assault such
as pregnancy tests, AIDS testing, etc.
INFORMATION/REFERRAL -
Medical, legal, therapeutic.
PEER SUPPORT -
Provided by volunteers.
SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICES - Extended to any victims of crime, regardless
of age.
TRANSPORTATION -
To all related services and legal procedures.
OTHER - Advocacy,
i.e., working to improve policies and laws that adversely affect victims
of rape and child sexual abuse.
Eligibility Requirements -
Victims or family of victims of sexual assault or child sexual abuse:
Note: reporting rape to law enforcement is encouraged but is not required
for services.
Cost - None
Days/Hours of Operation -
24 hours/7 days per week - Emergencies (on-call) Office 9:00-5:00 Monday-Friday,
or by appointment in evenings.
